Paramedic Safeguarding Lead for Ashgate, Holme Hall and Whittington

I joined the ambulance service in 2004 where I remained for 14 years. I qualified as a Paramedic in 2008 then went on to gain my BSc in Emergency Care. I decided that I’d had enough of racing around in emergency care and needed a new challenge. I have since studied at Derby university for a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice.

When I took up the opportunity to work in Primary Care in 2018, it was unusual for Paramedics to work in this sector of health care but now is becoming the norm. Since working for Royal Primary Care I took up the opportunity to challenge myself further and have taken on the role of Safeguarding lead for our area.

My interests are trying to bring my profession forward and into Primary care, and out of work I enjoy my classic cars.
