Dr Frances Clement

MB BChir, MA (1992 Cambridge), DCH, FFPH

Doctor GP Trainer

Works 3 days a week at RPC East

I graduated from Cambridge University in 1992 and then completed my GP training in Bristol in 1998. I set up a service with Bristol City Council for people with drug addictions which led to my interest in the wider determinants of health (e.g. poverty, employment, education, housing).

I decided to pursue a career in Public Health and trained and worked as a Consultant in Public Health in Barnsley for 7 years. Whilst preparing to return to General Practice I worked for a short time in London with Hillingdon Borough Council on an HIV Needs Assessment.

I returned to General Practice in 2016 and have been working for Royal Primary Care since that time. I am a GP trainer and supervise F2 doctors, Medical Students from Sheffield and Nottingham Universities and GP Registrars training to become GP’s. I am also lead for Reducing Health Inequalities for RPC.
