Dr Naren Senthil-Nathan

Doctor

Works 4 days a week at RPC West

I graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne Medical School in 2009.

I completed my Foundation Training and then my GP training in the North East in 2014.

During my training years I have worked in various specialties including surgery, Ophthalmology, A&E, Psychiatry.

I have worked in Chesterfield since 2016 and have grown really fond of the people and what the area has to offer.

Alongside my GP job I also work as a GP Trainer where I am responsible for training the GP’s of the future.

I have previously worked as a Training Programme Director for GP Training in Chesterfield where I oversaw the overall running of GP Training.

I currently also hold the role of an External Advisor for the Royal College of General Practioners.

This is a national level role and its purpose is to provide expert impartial advice and scrutiny of all processes of delivery, assessment and evaluation of GP specialty training according to the GMC Quality Assurance Framework.

My other role is of a GP Appraiser where I am responsible for appraising qualified GP’s to ensure they are supported and are keeping up to date.

Withing RPC, I’ll be carrying out social media work including producing and releasing medical themed podcasts to help our patients support their own health needs.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping active by going to the gym.
