Sandy Wilmarsh

Pharmacist

Works 3 days a week at RPC South

I graduated Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Bath in 1986 and qualified in 1987. I then practised in community pharmacy, mostly as management for 32 years.  I gradually made the transition to GP surgery work by doing pharmacy prescribing support sessions under a CCG initiative.

After qualifying as an independent prescriber in 2019 I left community pharmacy altogether and joined the RPC team at Clay Cross and Grassmoor where I am now prescribing lead.

My main role is to carry out medication reviews, and deal with medication queries, and my area of special interest is in the management of chronic pain, for which I run a dedicated clinic.
